About Us
The Codnor Sports Charitable Trust was formed in 2011 to oversee and manage most of the former Miners Welfare site at Goose Lane. CISWO, on whose land the Trust operates, gave a grant of £10,000 to set the trust up for the benefit of the Community and Sporting groups, ensuring the Social Welfare, Financial Hardship, youth and age are provided for and also improving their condition in life. The 3rd Codnor Scouts, Crown Green Bowls, Codnor Boys Football Club and Codnor Cricket Club along with differing local groups also use the facility during the week and evenings. The facility is available to hire at competitive rates for charitable events (no charge) fund raising events and parties with a kitchen and bar available as well.
