The Codnor Sports Charitable Trust was formed in 2011 to oversee and manage most of the former Miners Welfare site at Goose Lane. CISWO, on whose land the Trust operates, gave a grant of £10,000 to set the trust up for the benefit of the Community and Sporting groups, ensuring the Social Welfare, Financial Hardship, youth and age are provided for and also improving their condition in life. The 3rd Codnor Scouts, Crown Green Bowls, Codnor Boys Football Club and Codnor Cricket Club along with differing local groups also use the facility during the week and evenings. The facility is available to hire at competitive rates for charitable events (no charge) fund raising events and parties with a kitchen and bar available as well. The current trustees are as follows Representing the Cricket Club - Mr David Wood and Mr Gary Johnson Representing the Bowls Club - Mr Mick Neale Representing the Football Club - Mr Mick Day and Mr Philip Moss Representing Codnor Parish Council - Cllr Chris Emmas-Williams and Cllr Mark Howard Please find the Annual Report of the Trustees This is a requirement of the Charity Commission and has to be submitted by the end of January each year. |
