Fantastic day at the Codnor Sports and Welfare ground on Sunday 4th August 2019 with the Cricket Match for the new Bob Moon Cup.The Bob Moon cup was purchased by Codnor Parish Council and Heanor & Loscoe Town Council to commemorate the contribution to the local community by the late Councillor Bob Moon.
The match was played between the St James Church team and Codnor Cricket Club in front of a good crowd on a nice but showery day.
The winners - Codnor Cricket club were presented with the Cup by Anna Moon.
The game was played in great spirit and was a fine tribute to Bob - Well played everyone.

The defibrillator at the Sports Centre at the Goose Lane site has now been activated with the Ambulance Service. A big thank you to all who helped to raise the funds especially the Codnor Inn and its patrons. Hopefully it will never get used but if it does those few minutes might just make the difference!

Derbyshire County Councillors Celia Cox & Steve Freeborn presenting the cheque for £900 from their councillor community fund towards an electric supply to the Bowls pavilion. Whilst sharing a cuppa with members they also saw the two refrigerators and double oven that they also gave a grant for when the centre was opened. A big thank you to them both for their fantastic support.
